Toby Litt - Hospital
Toby Litt is quite a character. His novels vary in every genre possible and he has a strange, though easy way to entitle his novels, he just follows the alphabet. With Hospital he's reached the H. And the book is about a Hospital, and about the end of the world, about a strange mist, a buy who has swallowed and apple and feels a tree growing inside of him. It's about voodoo and satanism, about love on the workfloor and about so much more.
It's a great book that starts of pretty realistic but soon goes in a realm that can best be described as Stephen Kingish. It's eerie, mysterious and dark. I mean a novel in which a headdoctor sacrifices a baby to Satan, people cut themselves open or throw each other in elevator shafts, that's not something you read everyday. Downside of the novel though is the big amount of charachters, sometimes it's hard too remember who is who again.
